The John A. Widtsoe Foundation is proud to announce the sixth installment of its Latter-Day Saint – Jewish Academic Dialogue series on February 26-28 at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The semi-annual event brings together leaders from the Latter-day Saint and Jewish communities in Utah and California, with our last meeting taking place in Jerusalem in 2019. The event consists of both private academic discussions and public presentations aimed at building bridges of common ground and friendship between members of the two faiths. It also aims to promote greater understanding and appreciation for the similarities and differences in belief and worship.

Foundation Director and Scholar in Residence Dr. Jacob Rennaker has been a regular member of this dialogue group, representing the Latter-day Saint perspective since the project began in 2016. During this event, Dr. Rennaker will lead a private scripture reading with the group, and will also be a featured speaker at the public session on Wednesday evening (see below for details). Along with a representative from the Jewish delegation, Dr. Rennaker will discuss scripture reading in an interfaith setting and answer questions about the experience reading together earlier in the day.
