Despite the worldwide pandemic limiting in-person events in 2020, we were presented with a unique opportunity to refocus on our global mission and utilize technology to reach more people than ever before. By shifting our focus to consider what we could offer in a virtual
setting, we developed a unique Q&A-style interactive conversation series of events that reached thousands of participants in all 50 states, and more than 37 countries on all seven continents.
For our major series of 2020, we partnered with BYU’s Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious
Scholarship to present a series of “Book of Mormon Conversations” with the authors of each of the Maxwell Institute’s recent series “The Book of Mormon: Brief Theological Introductions.” Widtsoe Foundation hosts discussed key theological teachings in the Book of Mormon with series authors and participants gained greater insight into how principles taught in the Book of Mormon impact their spiritual, civic, and social lives.
